Background process of Alpha PSP
1. Use the best source of energy, Rice as Raw Material
Alpha PSP 02 is produced from rice grown in an area having alkaline soil, rich in organic matter. Such lands are found around the equatorial line such as Brazil and Thailand. Brown rice is considered as the best source of energy for our body.

The process that produces brown rice removes only the outermost layer, the hull, of the rice kernel and is the least damaging to its nutritional value. The complete milling and polishing that converts brown rice into white rice destroys 67% of the vitamin B3, 80% of the vitamin B1, 90% of the vitamin B6, half of the manganese, half of the phosphorus, 60% of the iron, and all of the dietary fiber and essential fatty acids. By law in the United States, fully milled and polished white rice is required to be "enriched" with vitamins B1, B3 and iron.

2. Proprietary Process
We used the combination of Thai traditional medicine techniques and theory with modern sophisticated mechanical hydrolysis without using enzymes, acids or chemicals. Instead, we used the power of indirect heat at controlled temperature coupled with high pressure to process selected fractions of specific strains of rice to obtain Alpha PSP, a rice base bioactive food. Alpha PSP contains active components in stabilized high bioavilability form:
  • » Polysaccharides
  • » Peptides
  • » Essential Vitamins
  • » Mineral

Technically speaking, the functional value of rice fractions is enhanced by the altering of its chemical and molecular structure. By creating a smaller molecular size it creates a higher bioavailability of nutrients to the body.

Alpha PSP 02 has an average size around 200-300 microns with one-sided fiber-like surface. (microns is one millionth of one meter)
3. Mode of Action
  • Alpha PSP active components also act as a proenzyme, prebiotic, and fiber-like action to improve digestion, absorption and elimination processes.
  • Proenzyme is an inactive enzyme precursor which requires a biochemical change for it to become an active enzyme in our body. The amino acid chain that is released upon activation.
  • Prebiotics are the food that probiotics thrive on.
  • Fiber-like action helps inhibits the absorption of sugar and reduces sugar response after eating.
  • In addition, Alpha PSP active components including high concentratios of glutamine provides good energy source along with raw material to help our body to repair the intestinal villi and the intestinal wall.
  • Intestinal villi are tiny, finger-like projections that come out from the wall of the small intestine and have additional extensions called microvilli. They increase the absorptive area and the surface area of the intestinal wall.

In our body, the villi and microvilli together increase intestinal absorptive surface area 30-fold and 600-fold, respectively, providing exceptionally efficient absorption of nutrients. This increases the surface area so there are more places for food to be absorbed.

A healthy intestinal wall allows only nutrients to pass into the bloodstream; when it is damaged, larger molecules--such as incompletely digested fats, proteins and toxins slip through, as well. Your body, recognizes these substances as foreign and forms antibodies to them, which is why you suddenly become allergic to foods you've always eaten without a problem. Leaky Gut Syndrome (LGS) occurs when the wall of the GI tract is damaged.

Rice is an integral part of Thai culture and our way of life. It is the lifeblood nourishing Thailand from the past and into the future. History clearly demonstrates the enormous potential of Thai rice and its intrinsic values which has yet to be fully relised. Innovation can and will enable us to continue to hold on to rice as our precious national asset, especially our native and pure varieties which will allow more value added to be captured in an effective manner....
